Dunning email sent with all 600 addresses visible
An email chasing the collection of overdue payday loans, sent by debt collectors Marston, was sent to over 600 individuals with all other late payers visible.
It is normal practice to blind copy the recipients of such emails to ensure that the names of those being chased for overdue payment are not published widely.
The company is contacting all individuals concerned.
The Marston Group claims that it is “the market leader of civil enforcement with over 71 years experience. Marston Group has in excess of 34% of the market for the recovery of unpaid parking penalty and congestion charges. We are preferred suppliers to the Child Support Agency (99% of cases in the UK), and service 4 of the 7 regions for the Magistrates’ Courts and Inland Revenue (66% of the UK). We also recover council tax and business rates for authorities, which include Liverpool and Manchester City Councils”.
