
A credit score calculated only on the answers you provide in an application form for credit. Surprisingly accurate bearing in mind that no credit report information is taken into account. The lender typically looks for evidence of a stable lifestyle and regular income.
The score is based on the following information, which the must be submitted with the application; full name, address and phone number, length of time at address, sex, date of birth, marital status, number and age of dependents, residential status, occupation, name and address of employer, length of employment, monthly income, outstanding credit obligations, bank name and address, sort code, account number, account name and the amount of credit required.
The form must also incldue the lender's declaration of conformity with the Consumer Credit Act 1974, and must be signed and dated by the applicant.
